Palestinian sources reported, Friday, that Israeli soldiers shot and killed a camel that belongs to a Bedouin resident of northern Jericho in the occupied West Bank.
The owner of the camel filed a complaint to the Israeli police.
An Israeli army spokesperson reported that soldiers stationed in the area left their military base without a permit, and confessed later on the they actually shot and killed the camel.
The spokesperson added that the soldiers involved in the incident will be punished according to the law.
Brigadier Yoav Mordechai, head of the so-called Civil Administration, which runs under the Israeli Army in the occupied territories, sent a letter to Palestinian Authority officials in Jericho in this regard.
