This week Israeli military attacks on Palestinian communities in the West Bank and Gaza left one fighter killed and another worker injured. the Palestinian Center for Human Rights said in its weekly report.The report, which documents daily human rights violations in the occupied territories, covers the period of Thursday July 1st to Wednesday July 6th 2010.

Shooting:

During the reporting period Israeli troops killed a Palestinian resistance activist and wounded a worker in the Gaza Strip and an Israeli human rights defender in the West Bank.

In the Gaza Strip, on 16 August 2010, the military killed a Palestinian resistance activist during armed clashes in the east of Khan Yunis.

On 14 August 2010, a Palestinian worker was wounded when soldiers fired at a number of workers who were collecting raw construction materials in the northern Gaza Strip.

During the reporting period, Israeli warplanes bombarded a number of civilian facilities in the southern and central Gaza Strip.

Incursions:

During the reporting period, the Israeli military conducted at least 21 military incursions into Palestinian communities in the West Bank, during which they arrested 14 Palestinian civilians, including 3 children. Soldiers also arrested two Palestinian civilians, 4 Israeli human rights defenders and an international one.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces conducted 3 limited incursions into Palestinian communities, during which they leveled areas of Palestinian land.
