Local sources reported Wednesday that clashes erupted between several residents and Israeli soldiers in the Shu’fat refugee camp, in occupied East Jerusalem.The army claimed that several youths hurled stones and Molotov cocktails at a military roadblock close to Ras Khamis area; no injuries were reported.
The army invaded the refugee camp and clashed with dozens of youth; soldiers fired gas bombs and rubber-coated metal bullets in addition to several rounds of live ammunition.
In related news, Israeli sources reported on Wednesday evening that a fire broke out near the Talmon Benjamin illegal settlement, and added that the army suspects that Palestinians are behind the incident.
