Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip have reported that ten Palestinians, including two children, have been killed, and dozens injured, by Israeli missiles and shells in different parts of the Gaza Strip, before the truce came into effect.The sources said the two brothers (children) were killed after the army fired a missile at the family car, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, minutes before the month-long ceasefire came into effect.

The slain children have been identified as Omar and Mohammad Husam al-Breem.

In Rafah, also in southern Gaza, three Palestinians were killed, and many injured, by an Israeli missile. The three have been identified as Yousef Ghannam, Ahmad Kamel Jarboa’, 26, and Mohammad Saleh ar-Ribaty, 18.

The army also fired a missile into a residential area in Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, killing one Palestinian identified as Mohammad Majdi Za’anin, and wounding several others.

Also in northern Gaza, two employees of the Gaza Electricity Company were killed by an Israeli missile while trying to fix power lines bombarded by Israel. They have been identified as Samer Midhat Hamad, 24, and Mohammad Abdul-Rahman Thaher, 49.

In addition, two Palestinians have been killed when the army fired a missile into the Sha’af area, east of Gaza City. They have been identified as Shadi ‘Oleiwa, 26, and Salem Mohammaden, 26.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said at least Israeli missiles and shells have killed 2137 Palestinians, including hundreds of children, women, elderly, journalists, medics and rescue volunteers, while more than 11100 have been injured, since Israeli launched its offensive on Gaza on July 8.
