Palestinians medical sources have reported, Friday, that Israeli soldiers shot and injured seventeen Palestinians, one seriously, after the army attacked protesters close to border areas, in different parts of the besieged coastal region.The sources said local medics transferred seven Palestinians, who were shot with live Israeli army rounds, to the Al-Aqsa Hospital, during clashes east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.
One of the wounded suffered a serious injury, and the rest sustained moderate wounds, in addition to a cameraman, working for the Palestinian TV.
Clashes also took place east of the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, in addition an area east of al-Boreij, in central Gaza, and close to the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing, in the northern part of the coastal region.
The soldiers, stationed across the border fence, fired dozens of gas bombs, live rounds and rubber-coated steel bullets.
In addition, two Palestinians suffered moderate injuries, after the soldiers fired live rounds on protesters, close to the Nahal Oz terminal.
