Israeli occupation forces invaded the city of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, at dawn on Saturday, abducting nine Palestinians, including legislator Jamal at-Tirawi and his sons Mohammad Khaled and Abdul-Hamid, after violently storming and searching their home.
Many military vehicles stormed Nablus and nearby communities before the soldiers carried out wide-scale invasions across several neighborhoods, storming and ransacking dozens of homes.
The soldiers broke into several homes in Nablus city and Balata refugee camp, before abducting Legislative Council Member legislator Jamal at-Tirawi, along with his sons Mohammad and Abdul-Hamid.
The soldiers also abducted Hamza Mohammad Jadallah, Islam Mohammad Jadallah, and Mu’tasim Salim Jadallah from the Old City; Ahmad ad-Dawwaya from the Ta’awun Street; Anas ash-Shunnar from al-Ma’ajeen neighborhood, and Mohammad Abu Rajab from Kafr Qalil.
The abductions came amid intensified military assaults on Nablus and its eastern Balata refugee camp, underscoring the ongoing campaign of intimidation and collective punishment against Palestinian civilians.
