On Thursday evening, Israeli soldiers assaulted a young Palestinian man before abducting him in Sur Baher town, southeast of the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank. The soldiers also invaded Silwan and attacked protesters.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said several army jeeps invaded Sur Baher, leading to protests before the soldiers fired many rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Silwanic added that the soldiers chased several Palestinians and stopped and repeatedly assaulted a young man, causing several injuries, before abducting him.

Silwanic also said several army vehicles invaded Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and closed many roads.

The soldiers stopped and searched dozens of cars and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards, leading to protests in several parts of the town, especially in the Be’er Ayyoub area.
