Israeli occupation forces demolished four Palestinian homes on Tuesday morning in the town of Barta’a, northwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, the Barta’a Municipality has confirmed.
Municipal officials stated that Israeli military bulldozers invaded the town at dawn and began demolishing four homes belonging to Omar Abdul‑Aziz Qabaha, Jamal Abdul‑Aziz Qabaha, and Amjad Abdul‑Aziz Qabaha, under the pretext that the properties lie within Area “C.” Residents were forcibly removed from their homes before the demolition began.
The municipality described the demolitions as part of a widening pattern of punitive measures imposed by Israeli forces on the town and its residents, urging human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene to halt the ongoing violations targeting the community and its property.
In a related development, Israeli forces invaded several towns across the Jenin district at dawn.
Media sources reported that troops invaded the town of ‘Anin, west of Jenin, breaking into and searching several homes.
The soldiers also invaded the nearby town of Rummana, where additional homes were searched.
According to the same sources, Israeli soldiers carried out home invasions and violent searches in the villages of Tayba and Zububa, south of Jenin.
