On Wednesday dawn, an Israeli military drone fired a missile at a building in the Tulkarem refugee camp, in Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, wounding several Palestinians. The army also caused extensive damage to streets, infrastructure, and buildings.
Media sources said the military drone fired a missile at a building in Abu Al-Fool neighborhood, wounding several Palestinians.
The army claimed it targeted a building that had Palestinian resistance fighters in it; however, the injuries were mostly in its vicinity.
Medical sources have confirmed all wounded Palestinians suffered mild injuries and were treated at the scene.
After the bombing, several military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, invaded the refugee camp, especially the School Street area and the Balawna neighborhood, and bulldozed the streets.
The soldiers also fired many live rounds at young men who protested the invasion and stormed a high school on Nablus Street near the refugee camp and an UNRWA-run school at its main entrance.
The soldiers detonated the main gates and doors of the two schools before turning them into military sites and monitoring towers.
Furthermore, the soldiers imposed a curfew on the refugee camp and deployed sharpshooters on many rooftops that the soldiers stormed, ransacked, and occupied, in addition to interrogating many Palestinians.
The soldiers also invaded and ransacked several homes in Nur Shams refugee camp and Thannaba Suburb and abducted many Palestinians, including four siblings, in addition to a father and his son.
Some of the abductees are Abed Abu Badawiyya, Yousef Abu Badawiyya, Ismael Abu Badawiyya, Hamza Abu Badawiyya, Amin Abu Hamdi, his son, Mahmoud, and Yousef Da’ma, all from the Nur Shams refugee camp, in addition to Mahmoud Al-Madani from Thannaba.
In addition, the soldiers detained and constantly assaulted Tha’er Abu Ata after storming his home in the School’s Neighborhood and only released him after he lost consciousness due to many strikes to his face and head.
It is worth mentioning that, during the invasion, the army surrounded Al-Isra’ Specialty Hospital in the “Western Neighborhood” of Tulkarem and Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in the eastern part of the city.
The soldiers also destroyed a monument in Thannaba, bulldozed the main street leading to Nur Shams refugee camp, and destroyed infrastructure, in addition to public and private property.
It is worth mentioning that Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading military vehicles in Tulkarem refugee camp.
