Israeli forces attacked, on Friday, non-violent protestors at the weekly demonstration in the northern West Bank village of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus city, injuring dozens, according to medical sources.

Ahmed Jibril, the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society emergency and ambulance services, stated that Israeli soldiers opened fire with rubber-coated steel rounds and tear gas canisters, shooting eight young men with rubber-coated steel rounds while 37 suffered the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

Two journalists who were attempting to provide coverage for the peaceful demonstration were among those who suffocated on tear gas.
