Several relatives of slain Palestinian, Abdul-Fattah Ahed Ahmad Al-Hreibat, 20, sustained injuries and bruises on Wednesday evening when Israeli occupation soldiers invaded his home in Doura, south of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern region. During the invasion, the soldiers detained Abdul-Fattah’s father, mother, and two brothers.
Local sources said the soldiers stormed Hreibat’s home, assaulted his family members, and subjected them to physical abuse, resulting in six injuries.
Palestinian medics rushed to the area and transported the wounded Palestinians to the hospital for treatment.
Also, the soldiers detained Hreibat’s parents and his brothers, Mo’men and Aa’ed, after ransacking the home and deliberately destroying its contents.
Earlier, Israeli forces invaded Doura from its eastern entrance, deploying numerous military vehicles, blocking main roads, and firing live ammunition before storming Hreibat’s home.
It is worth mentioning that the slain young man was fatally shot by Israeli forces on Wednesday afternoon at the southern entrance of Hebron.
After shooting Hreibat, the soldiers prevented Palestinian medics from approaching him and took his corpse for an unknown destination.
The Israeli military claimed that the young man had carried out a car-ramming attack against its forces stationed at the checkpoint before exiting his vehicle and attempting a stabbing attack, prompting soldiers to open fire and “neutralize” him—a term frequently used by Israeli forces and Israeli media when referring to the killing or wounding of Palestinians.
In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded Husan Secondary School for Boys amid a military invasion of the village, located west of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.
Rami Hamamra, head of the Husan Village Council, stated that Israeli troops invaded the village, taking positions in the center before breaking the lock on the school’s gate and storming the building.
During the invasion, Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear gas, spreading panic and fear among children and women. No injuries were reported.
This year, Israeli soldiers have killed 135 Palestinians, including 24 children and 5 women, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
Amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has continued since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces and paramilitary have intensified operations across the West Bank, resulting in the killing of more than 960 Palestinians, injuries to nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of 16,400 individuals.
In the Gaza Strip, Israel has now killed at least 52,653 Palestinians, and injured more than 118,897, largely children, women and elderly, since October 7, 2023.
