Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers severely assaulted a Palestinian man on Thursday night in the village of Ad Duyuk al Tahta, west of Jericho in the northeastern West Bank.

Local sources reported that a group of colonizers ambushed the man on a rural dirt road near the village’s agricultural plots.

The assault occurred in an unlit area where colonizers had positioned a vehicle with an Israeli yellow license plate, using its lights and handheld flashlights to control the scene.

Footage from the incident shows several colonizers surrounding the area, including one holding a high‑intensity flashlight aimed directly toward the victim and approaching residents — a tactic commonly used to blind witnesses and obstruct documentation.

The colonizers spread out along a stone wall and around their vehicle, preventing residents from reaching the injured man or providing first aid.

Witnesses stated that after the initial assault by the colonizers, Israeli soldiers arrived and joined in the attack, repeatedly kicking and striking the man while he was already on the ground. Residents attempting to intervene were pushed back and threatened.

The man sustained multiple injuries as a result of the assault. Soldiers and colonizers continued to block access to him for an extended period, delaying medical assistance.

This attack comes amid a sharp escalation in coordinated assaults by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers across the West Bank, often carried out under direct military protection.

On Thursday evening, an Israeli colonizer attacked dozens of Palestinian children while they were training at the village playground in Shuqba, west of Ramallah in the central West Bank, before several colonizers invaded the area and set fire to multiple cars.
