Early Thursday, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers set fire to farmland in Burqa, east of Ramallah, and burned an agricultural structure in Eghzeiwa, east of Yatta and south of Hebron.
Media sources said the colonizers set fire to farmland in Wadi ash-Shami, an area of Burqa village east of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank. The flames spread toward nearby Palestinian homes, placing residents and property at risk.
The sources added that Israeli soldiers delayed Palestinian Civil Defense crews from reaching the area.
In a separate attack in Eghzeiwa, east of Yatta and south of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, armed Israeli colonizers spray-painted racist slogans and threats against local Palestinian residents on an agricultural structure belonging to Mohammad Makhamra before setting it on fire.
Burqa and neighboring villages east of Ramallah face repeated attacks by illegal Israeli colonizers and occupation forces targeting Palestinian residents, homes, property, and agricultural crops.
The attacks come amid a serious escalation in colonizer violence and related violations across the occupied West Bank. In its September 11 humanitarian report, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said it documented more than 1,600 colonizer attacks resulting in Palestinian casualties or property damage across 275 communities between January and August 2026—an average of 6.7 attacks per day, compared with five per day in 2025.
The Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission reported that Israeli occupation forces and colonizers carried out 2,030 attacks against Palestinians, their lands, and property in August alone, including 628 attacks by colonizers. The Commission said colonizer attacks during the month directly harmed 164 Palestinians and targeted 21,508 trees, including 19,375 olive trees.
