From the Quds News Network: The International Criminal Court (ICC) said it was hit by a “sophisticated and targeted” cyberattack late last week. In a statement released Monday, the ICC confirmed it had contained the breach and launched an investigation.
This marks the second cyberattack on the Hague-based court in recent years. The ICC did not share details about the attackers or the method used.
The ICC and its lawyers have also faced death threats, physical and cyber menacing.

The court said its internal systems detected and responded to the breach swiftly. A full impact assessment is underway. Measures are being taken to reduce any damage.
The ICC stressed the importance of transparency and called for international support. “This kind of support ensures our ability to carry out justice and accountability,” the statement said.
The attack comes as the ICC faces increasing political pressure, especially after it issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant in November 2024 over war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
The ICC also issued a warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of unlawfully deporting Ukrainian children.
Neither Israel nor Russia are members of the ICC. Both governments rejected the charges and denied the court’s jurisdiction.
In 2023, the ICC suffered another cyberattack that shut down much of its internet-based systems for weeks. It also withheld details about that incident.
