The Israeli army mainly concentrated its bombing and shelling on various parts of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, targeting homes and residential buildings, schools, and various coastal areas, killing more than twenty Palestinians and wounding dozens.

Medical sources said at least twelve Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured in Khan Younis and added that most of the slain and the wounded are children.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said it has been trying to reach the bombarded school, after receiving calls regarding dozens of casualties, but the Israeli soldiers are surrounding the area and are preventing the ambulances from reaching it and are using drones to fire at ambulances.

Mohammad Abu Musleh, the spokesperson of the PRCS and the head of the Emergency Department in the Gaza Strip, told Al-Jazeera that the PRCS contacted the Red Cross to try to receive a permit from the army to enter the bombarded school for more than two hours, but the army continues to deny the request.

Mohammad added that Israeli drones are constantly targeting ambulances and medics in Khan Younis, and several parts of the Gaza Strip.

The soldiers also fired many shells around the Al-Aqsa University, west of Khan Younis, where dozens of families are sheltering.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said it lost contact with all its teams in Khan Younis due to ongoing Israeli bombings. The statement came after Israeli tanks invaded the area of Al-Amal Hospital, which runs in the city.

The army also surrounded Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis from three directions; the medical facility is only one kilometer from Al-Amal Hospital.

The Israeli army continued to advance into the center of Khan Younis, an issue that would mean isolating the western parts of the city from its eastern parts, which could also cut all access between the northern and the southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, the Israeli fired many missiles and shells into all eastern areas between Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that Israeli Quadcopter military drones fired barrages of live rounds at Palestinians fleeing their homes in several areas of Khan Younis, especially in the Al-Mawasi area and Nasser Medical Center.

In addition, the army fired barrages of missiles and shells at homes and buildings in Gaza City, Jabalia in northern Gaza, and Al-Maghazi in central Gaza amidst intense gun battles with Palestinian resistance fighters.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he, for many years, has been working to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state and will never allow this state to be established.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported that at least 25.105 Palestinians have been killed (%70 are women and children), and more than 62.681 have been injured in the Gaza Strip since October 7. 2023.

Thousands remain missing, mostly buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, and hundreds are on the streets as the medics and rescue teams have been unable to reach them due to ongoing bombing and massive destruction of infrastructure.
