Day 147: “Ongoing Israeli Bombing Kills Dozens In Gaza”

One Palestinian was killed when an Israeli drone fired live rounds into the Al-Mighraqa village, southwest of Gaza City.

The Israeli army fired dozens of artillery shells and missiles at the eastern areas of Deir Al-Balah City, in central Gaza, killing at least fifteen Palestinians, mostly women and children, and wounding dozens.

More than six Palestinians were killed and many were injured when the army fired missiles at a car and a school housing displaced Palestinians in Hamad City in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army wired and detonated dozens of homes in a residential bloc west of Khan Younis.

One child was killed and many Palestinians were injured when the army fired a missile at a home for the Abu Ghali family in Yibna refugee camp, in the center of Rafah in the southmost part of the Gaza Strip.

In related news, the number of Palestinian children who died from malnutrition at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, has reached eight, due to the constant Israeli blockade and bombing.

On its part, the Israeli army said five of its soldiers were killed in gun battles with Palestinian fighters in several parts of the Gaza Strip.

According to data by Haaretz, the officially declared number of soldiers killed since October 7 to 557, in addition to 60 police officers and 13 Emergency Services members.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said it received a delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO), at the Shifa Medical Center in Gaza City, and observed the dire health situation amidst the lack of basic medical supplies, which was made worse after the Rashid Street Massacre.

The Health Ministry discussed with the visiting WHO delegation the means to increase medical aid to the Gaza Strip and ensure its urgent delivery in addition to the needed supplies of fuel needed to run the power generators in Gaza’s hospitals, and thousands of ready meals for the hospitals.

It is worth mentioning that the Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on X: “After more than a month, @WHO  and partners managed to access Al-Shifa hospital in northern #Gaza to deliver 19,000 litres of fuel; lifesaving medical supplies for 150 patients; and treatments for 50 children suffering from severe acute malnutrition. Over 240 patients are being served by a large number of volunteer health workers. Services are very limited due to a lack of medical supplies, fuel, water and food. The level of destruction around the hospital is beyond words. Ceasefire.”

Furthermore, the acting head of the Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, Mohammad Salha, said the Israeli army has not approved any entry of medical supplies to the facility, and added that all surgeries have been postponed until further notice.

Israeli constant bombing of hospitals and medical facilities, the lack of basic medical supplies due to the siege, the large numbers of casualties, and the lack of fuel have forced 31 out of 36 Gaza hospitals to shut down.

The Israeli army also bombarded and partially destroyed 152 medical centers and clinics, in several parts of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the Israeli army “committed sixteen massacres against Palestinian families in the last 24 hours, killing 193 Palestinians, including many women and children, and wounding hundreds.”

The Health Ministry added that Israel has now killed at least 30.228 Palestinians, including more than 8.570 women, 12.660 children, 340 medical staff, and 200 journalists and media workers, and injured 71.377, in addition to more than 7.800 missing Palestinians, including 4.700 children, largely under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, in the Gaza Strip since October 7. 2023.
