Illegal Israeli colonizers invaded, on Sunday, the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, while many Palestinian Muslims are restricted or prohibited from entering.
Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the full protection of the occupation police, and performed Talmudic rituals, in a clear violation of the sanctity of the Islamic holy site.
According to the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem (Silwanic), 40 settlers stormed the yards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning, and another 32 invaded in the afternoon.
It added that only a small number of worshipers were permitted to enter the mosque for the afternoon prayer.
Since the beginning of the aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, Israeli police have been restricting the number of Palestinian Muslims allowed in to the mosque, preventing entry based on their age.
Silwanic also reported that the occupation authorities handed Jerusalemite activist, Hanadi Al-Halawani, an order barring her from the Al-Aqsa Mosque for a period of six months.
