Palestinian medical sources have reported, on Tuesday evening, that at least four young men were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, and dozens of residents suffered the severe effects of teargas inhalation, during clashes with Israeli soldiers near Qalandia Terminal, north of occupied East Jerusalem.
Media sources said hundreds of Palestinians marched in solidarity with the hunger striking detainees, held by Israel, before the soldiers started firing dozens of gas bombs on them, especially when they reached an area close to the terminal, leading to clashes.
The attack caused scores of residents to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation, while four Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets.
Some youngsters later hurled Molotov cocktails at the soldiers, who fired many live rounds, in addition to gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets.
Also on Tuesday evening, several Israeli army jeeps invaded Nabi Saleh village, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and clashed with many youngsters, who hurled stones on the army vehicles.
