Israeli occupation forces carried out multiple invasions across the occupied West Bank on Friday, breaking into homes, abducting Palestinians, and assaulting residents in several districts, according to local and security sources.
Update: In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted two Palestinian children, Ala’ Sharawna and Ali Yousef Al-Faqeeh, from Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Update: Many Israeli military vehicles invaded Sa’ir town, northeast of Hebron in the southern West Bank, leading to protests before the soldiers fired many live rounds and gas bombs.
Update: Israeli soldiers invade Al-Moghayir village, east of Ramallah, and fire gas bombs and concussion grenades.
In Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, soldiers invaded the Shweika neighborhood north of the city and broke into the home of former political prisoner Mahmoud Taleb Foqaha, 55, before abducting him.
Earlier at dawn, troops also invaded the area of Ezbet al-Tayyah, where they abducted a young man during a separate military invasion.
In Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city from its eastern entrance, deployed in the Sufin and ath-Thaher neighborhoods, and abducted seven Palestinians after breaking into their homes and searching them.
The abducted were identified as Ladan Mahmoud Jaidi, Anas Saed ad-Dahmuos, Walid Khodraji, Mustafa Khatib, Ali Darna, Ghaleb Wajih Hotri, and Mo’men Jibreel.
Soldiers also invaded the nearby area of Ezbet al-Tabib east of Qalqilia, breaking into the homes of Wadih Othman Tabib and Atef Mustafa, searching them, and damaging their contents.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, troops invaded the area from Jerusalem Street and moved toward the village of Kafr Qalil south of the city, where they broke into several homes, searched them, and caused extensive damage. No abductions were reported.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of al-Yamun west of the city at dawn, breaking into several homes during the operation.
In a separate incident west of Jenin, soldiers abducted high school student Osayd Mohammad Mustafa Amour after invading the village of Rummana. His abduction comes during the period of the national high school “Tawjihi” exams.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted a child, Youssef Arar’a, after an Israeli colonizer assaulted him and his father near the Arar’a Bedouin community north of the city.
Troops also assaulted Jerusalemite resident Jihad Qous near Bab al-Asbat, beating him before abducting him during Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In Ramallah in the central West Bank, soldiers fired tear gas canisters at Palestinian vehicles near the military roadblock installed west of the village of al-Mughayyer east of the city, causing disruptions and exposing residents to gas inhalation.
In Burqa village, east of Ramallah, the soldiers conducted extensive searches of homes and property, before interrogating and abducting several Palestinians.
In Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, the invasion of the town of Tuqu’ southeast of the city resulted in widespread destruction inside the home of detainee Khalil al-Amour and the homes of his father and brother after soldiers broke into the properties at dawn.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Yatta, breaking into several homes, searching them, and damaging their contents before abducting Mohammad Imad al-Nawaj’a.
In the nearby town of Beit Kahil, soldiers broke into multiple homes belonging to Mohammad al-Attawna and Zakaria Brioosh, causing deliberate destruction but reporting no abductions.
Israeli media also claimed that occupation forces had detained a Palestinian allegedly involved in a shooting two weeks earlier in the town of ath-Thaheriya south of Hebron, an incident in which an Israeli soldier was injured.
