On Sunday evening, 23 year old Mohammad Wael al-Sharouf was killed by Israeli occupation forces at the northern entrance of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Civil Affairs Authority confirmed his death after he was shot in the head with live rounds, and his body was seized.
Eyewitnesses and security sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers stationed at the military opened fire on al Sharouf, leaving him bleeding on the ground.

Ambulance crews were prevented from reaching him, while soldiers sealed off all main roads leading into Hebron.
Hours later, Israeli forces invaded his family home in the town of Nuba, west of Hebron, intensifying the grief and anger of residents.
Israeli military spokespeople claimed al Sharouf attempted a stabbing attack but provided no evidence; no injuries were reported among the soldiers.
This killing comes amid a sharp escalation in the West Bank. Since October 2023, when Israel launched its war on Gaza, more than 1,093 Palestinians have been killed and 11,000 injured in the West Bank, alongside mass arrests and repeated invasions of Palestinian communities.
The death of Mohammad Wael al Sharouf underscores the ongoing pattern of lethal force, denial of medical aid, and punitive home invasions that have become hallmarks of Israel’s occupation policy in Hebron and across the West Bank.
On Saturday, Israeli forces killed the Palestinian child, Mohammad Eyad Mohammad Abahra (16 years old) and confiscated his body, after shooting him in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) reported, on Sunday, the death of Palestinian detainee, Sakhr Ahmad Za’oul (26 years old) from the town of Husan, west of Bethlehem. Za’oul was abducted in June of 2025, while Israeli authorities tortured him, despite having no charges filed against him.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces have killed 1097 Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, including 226 children and 24 women.
In the Jenin governorate, 308 Palestinians have been killed, while 213 were killed in Tulkarem, 138 in Nablus, 105 in Hebron, 98 in Tubas, 81 in Ramallah, 60 in Jerusalem, 42 in Qalqilia, 32 in Bethlehem, 13 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and 7 in Salfit, according to the Shireen Observatory.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 70,663 including women and children, while at least 171,139 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
