Israel denies humanitarian aid access into northern Gaza for 4th day: UN
The UN on Monday reported that Israeli authorities have denied access to the Falouja area of Jabaliya in northern Gaza for the fourth day, leaving people trapped under the rubble with no aid.
Citing the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq said a separate request to distribute food, medicine, and fuel to power water facilities in Jabalya was also denied by Israel.
“The fuel needed to keep water facilities running has been depleted, and people are either risking their lives to find drinking water or consuming water from unsafe sources,” Haq added.
UNRWA’s Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, said on X, “Denying and weaponizing humanitarian assistance to achieve military purposes is a sign of how low the moral compass is.”

Nearly three weeks of non-stop bombardments from the Israeli Forces as the death toll increases.
Our staff report they cannot find food, water or medical care.
The smell of death is everywhere as bodies are left lying on the roads or under the rubble.
Missions to clear the bodies or provide humanitarian assistance are denied.
In northern Gaza, people are just waiting to die. They feel deserted, hopeless and alone.
They live from one hour to the next, fearing death at every second.

$1 Billion US Weapons System Lands in Israel Amid Preparation to Attack Iran
U.S. weapons system has landed and is “in place” in Israel, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin said on Monday, as the Biden administration beefs up U.S. support of Israel and Israeli forces prepare to attack Iran and continue their bombardments of Lebanon and Gaza.
The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, worth between roughly $1 billion to $1.8 billion and made by Lockheed Martin, is an anti-missile system that can intercept ballistic missiles at high altitudes. The powerful weapon, deployed in only a few places around the world, will help bolster Israel’s ability to withstand air attacks after Iran’s missile attack on Israel earlier this month.
Austin said that the THAAD is expected to be operational soon. “We have the ability to put it into operation very quickly and we’re on pace with our expectations,” he said.
The U.S. announced last week that it was sending the THAAD as well as 100 U.S. troops to Israel. This is a significant escalation of the U.S.’s involvement in Israel’s aggression, marking the first time that U.S. troops have been directly deployed to Israel amid its genocide in Gaza and attacks across the Middle East.
Israel’s security minister calls for ‘voluntary transfer’ of Palestinians out of Gaza
Speaking at a “Preparing to Resettle Gaza” rally on 21 October, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir called on Palestinians to “voluntarily” leave the Gaza Strip.
“We will encourage the voluntary transfer of all Gazan citizens. We will offer them the opportunity to move to other countries because that land belongs to us,” Ben Gvir said.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has made similar calls in the past, claiming not only that Gaza must be conquered to become part of a Jewish state, but also parts of Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq.
At the rally, Daniella Weiss, who co-founded the extremist settler movement Nachala – the group that organized the event – said, “We came here with one clear purpose: to settle the entire Gaza Strip… Every inch from north to south.”
“We’re thousands of people and ready to move to Gaza at a moment’s notice,” she continued. “October 7 changed history. As a result of the brutal massacre, the Gazan Arabs have lost their rights to be here forever, they’ll not stay here.”
