At dawn on Monday, Israeli forces invaded and ransacked dozens of homes across the occupied West Bank, including the occupied capital, Jerusalem, causing extensive damage and abducting numerous Palestinians, among them two children.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces abducted seven Palestinians after storming their homes. Media sources reported that those abducted included Mousa Awad (34) from Jabal Al-Mawaleh, Anas Mohammad Abu ‘Ahour (30) from Saff Street, Mohammad Khaled Abu Ammar (26), Mohammad Raed Obeyyat, and Khalil Hasan Nabhan from Wad Abu Freiha, east of Bethlehem.
Additionally, in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, Israeli forces abducted two children, Shadi Mohammad Al-Hashlamoun (14) and Ammar Ali Taqatqa (15).
In Tuqu’ town, southeast of Bethlehem, the soldiers abducted Mo’ath Sami Shawawra, 30, at a military roadblock they installed in the town after invading it.
Israeli forces also destroyed the grave of Atef Obeyyat in Wadi Shahin, Bethlehem. Atef was a fighter with the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of the Fateh movement, who was assassinated by the Israeli army in October 2002.
In occupied Jerusalem, soldiers abducted Essam Edrees Hammouda from Al-Qubeiba, northwest of Jerusalem, while he was crossing the Jaba’ military roadblock, north of the city. They also invaded and searched several homes in Beit Anan, interrogating multiple Palestinians.
In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces stormed and ransacked numerous homes, abducting three Palestinians.
Media sources reported that those taken included Abdul-Samad Abu Ramouz in Hebron city, as well as Shaker At-Tarda and Mohammad Al-Tarda from Taffouh, west of Hebron.
The army also invaded several homes, primarily belonging to former political prisoners, including those of Mohammad Shaker, Abdul-Aziz Abu Turki, Tareq Anwar Ed’eis, Assem Zablah, Eyad Abu Shkheidem, Abdul-Karim Abu Ramouz, Ali Rajabi, Tamer Rajabi, Ala’ Zghayyar, Imad Nairoukh, and Mohammad Qfeishe.
Also, the soldiers detained the mother of Abdul-Karim Abu Ramouz, storming her home to pressure her son into surrendering, and assaulted his brother Osama.
In Ethna, west of Hebron, soldiers invaded the homes of former political prisoners, including Fadi Yousef Nofal and Ahmad Khalil Awad, destroying doors and furniture.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, soldiers invaded Balata refugee camp, stormed homes, and abducted two young men, Mohammad Hotari and Mo’men Miskawi.
In Qalqilia, also in the northern West Bank, soldiers invaded and ransacked several homes before abducting two young men, Mo’men Abu Shahin and Anas Abu Shahin.
In Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank, soldiers stormed and violently searched the home of former political prisoner Omar Samir Abu Khader, along with his father’s and brother’s homes, before abducting him.
Earlier Monday, Israeli forces demolished two Palestinian homes in Salfit and Ramallah, displacing their residents in the occupied West Bank’s central region.
