Israeli occupation forces, at dawn Thursday, demolished a Palestinian home, as well as a garage owned by another Palestinian citizen, in the village of Al-Walajah, northwest of Bethlehem, according to local sources.

Sources told PNN that Israeli soldiers and bulldozers approached the village early in the morning, stormed it, surrounded the house of Abdel Qader Abu Hammad and demolished it, under the pretext that it was built without Israeli permission, and then proceeded to destroy a garage in the area.

Local activist, Ibrahim Awad, told WAFA that Israeli forces invaded the village and proceeded to demolish the 80-square-meter house, belonging to Abu Hammad, as well as demolishing a workshop owned by Saleh Khalifah.

Awad stated that al-Walaja village has been under systematic attack through such Israeli measures as house demolitions and detentions, aiming to force Palestinian citizens out of the village, to make room for illegal Israeli settlers.

Similarly, on Thursday, Israel demolished 2 Palestinian homes and 2 barns, near Hebron.
