On Sunday, Israeli forces continued bombing and shelling various areas of the besieged and devastated Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including children and women.
Medical sources confirmed that four Palestinians were killed, and many others injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle in the Al-Amal neighborhood, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Additionally, an Israeli airstrike near Al-Abrar Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, killed a father and his daughter, Sham Khalifa, and caused multiple injuries.
Shortly before that, another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli airstrike east of Khan Younis.
Earlier in the day, ten Palestinians, including four children, one of them is only two years of age, and a newborn, were killed when Israeli forces bombed tents sheltering displaced families in various areas of Khan Younis.
Local sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted a tent housing the Al-Alami family in the Al-Amal area, west of Khan Younis, killing all family members: the father, Mo’tasem Mohammad Khader Al-Alami, his wife Nada Isamel Al-Alami, and their two children, Mohammad and Nada, in addition to Abdul-Salam Mahmoud.
Another drone strike hit a tent sheltering the Al-Agha family in the Al-Mawasi area, north of Khan Younis, killing four family members: Abdul-Salam Mahmoud Al-Agha, his wife Nasifa, and their two children, Ayloul and Zina.
In a separate attack, a child, Ahmad Mohammad Naser Fahjan, was killed, and seven others were injured when an Israeli airstrike struck the Fahjan family’s tent south of Khan Younis.
Another Palestinian was killed when an Israeli drone targeted a bicycle near a Doctors Without Borders facility in Al-Mawasi, northwest of Khan Younis.
In Gaza city, a Palestinian man and his daughter were killed, and many Palestinians injured, in an Israeli bombing near Al-Abrar Mosque in Gaza.
Israeli artillery also shelled the town of Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, while military vehicles fired live rounds in the area.
Medical sources report that Gaza’s healthcare system is facing a critical shortage of essential supplies and equipment for eye surgeries, as ongoing attacks continue to devastate medical facilities.
The Health Ministry stated that at least 1,500 Palestinians have lost their eyesight, while 4,000 others are at risk of blindness due to the lack of necessary surgical tools and medications.
The crisis has led to an almost complete collapse of surgical services, particularly for retinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and internal bleeding, severely impacting patients in need of urgent care.
Gaza’s Eye Hospital is struggling to operate with only three worn-out surgical scissors, which are being reused for multiple procedures, increasing health risks and limiting the ability to perform life-saving surgeries.
Additionally, vital medical supplies such as Healon and ultra-fine surgical sutures, essential for treating explosion-related eye injuries, are nearly depleted, further jeopardizing patient care.
Healthcare officials warn that unless immediate intervention is made by international organizations, the hospital will soon be unable to provide any surgical services, leaving thousands without critical medical treatment.
Medical sources confirmed that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling across Gaza has risen to 25 since dawn on Sunday.
Since the resumption of the military offensive on March 18, 2025, at least 3,227 Palestinians, including 538 women and 551 children, have been killed, and thousands more injured in Gaza.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli attacks have killed more than 52,810 Palestinians, including at least 15,626 children, 9,807 women, 3,855 elderly individuals, 237 journalists, and 23 medics. At least 119,473 people—mostly children, women, and the elderly—have been wounded.
The numbers remain incomplete, as many victims are still trapped under the rubble or in areas inaccessible to rescue teams due to massive destruction, ongoing Israeli bombings and invasions.
