On Thursday dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted five young Palestinian men, including a former political prisoner and siblings, and caused several injuries and damage to cars in Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
Many army jeeps invaded Jenin city before the soldiers stormed, ransacked many homes, and abducted Adel Zakarna, Ehab Adnan Salam, and former political prisoner Abdul-Halim Ezzeddin. Adel is the brother of a political prisoner, Mohammad Zakarna.
The soldiers also invaded the al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin, and searched several homes before abducting Abdul-Nasser Mahmoud Abahra and his brother Abdul-Basit. The two are brothers of a political prisoner Mansour Abahra.
Protests occurred in many parts of Jenin city after several army jeeps invaded them before the soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
Many Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation before receiving treatment by local medics. The live Israeli fire also caused damage to several cars in the invaded neighborhoods.
Also, the soldiers invaded several communities in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah, stormed and ransacked homes before abducting seven Palestinians, including siblings, in addition to shooting two young men.
