Israeli warplanes bombed four residential apartments across Gaza City at dawn Thursday, killing nine Palestinians and wounding at least fifteen others, in what medical teams and civil defense units described as one of the most violent nights since the declared “ceasefire.”
Al‑Jazeera Arabic reported that it was “one of the heaviest bombardments on Gaza City in recent days,” noting that several western and northern neighborhoods came under direct attack as families were sleeping.
Five Palestinians were slain when an Israeli missile struck the Lubbad family’s apartment in the northwest of Gaza City.
Medical staff said the strike instantly killed most members of the family, while a nine‑year‑old girl survived with moderate wounds and is the only remaining member of her household.
Al‑Jazeera Arabic said the apartment was “completely leveled,” and rescue teams confirmed that no other survivors were found under the rubble.
Two Palestinians were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit the Al‑Ghoul family’s apartment inside the Abu Ghori building in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood near the Abu Al‑Amin parking area.
The Gaza Civil Defense told Al‑Jazeera that “rescue teams are struggling to reach survivors due to the intensity of the bombardment,” as repeated strikes in the area hindered access to the upper floors of the building and forced crews to work under continuous fire.
Another residential apartment in the Tal Al‑Hawa neighborhood in southwest Gaza City was bombed, with casualties included in the overall toll announced by medical sources. A separate strike targeted the Mahna family’s apartment near the Abu Yousef Al‑Qoqa roundabout in the Beach refugee camp, wounding two Palestinians, including a woman, who were transferred to Al‑Shifa Hospital.
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip live yet another night of genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Local reporters confirmed that the strike caused significant structural damage to surrounding homes and forced dozens of residents to flee the area.
The bombardment coincided with extensive demolitions carried out by Israeli forces in eastern Gaza City, where eyewitnesses told Al‑Jazeera that at least ten residential structures and facilities were blown up, along with two additional violent detonations in nearby neighborhoods.
Israeli tanks and bulldozers opened heavy fire toward the northeastern areas of Al‑Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, while artillery units shelled Salah Al‑Din Road during a ground advance east of the highway in the Wadi Gaza area, cutting off movement and forcing families to shelter indoors.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli armored vehicles fired heavily toward the southern and eastern districts of Khan Younis, while Israeli naval vessels opened fire and launched shells toward the coastline.
Al‑Jazeera English reported that “Israeli forces intensified fire on Khan Younis overnight as drones hovered at low altitude,” describing continuous machine‑gun bursts and tank fire across the city.
Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis announced the death of a woman who succumbed to critical wounds sustained in a previous Israeli strike on the Mawasi area.
These attacks took place as Israeli forces continued wide‑scale demolitions in areas under their control in both the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.
On Wednesday, four Palestinians, including a woman, were killed in a separate Israeli attack that Palestinian officials described as part of ongoing violations of the ceasefire.
Israel has now killed around at least 72,945 Palestinians and wounded more than 173,011 others, most of them children and women, while destroying nearly all of the enclave’s infrastructure, since October 7, 2023.
Despite the “ceasefire” announced on 10 October 2025, Israel continues its genocide through daily bombardment and severe restrictions on humanitarian aid, which have killed at least 936 Palestinians and wounded more than 2,903, in addition to 781 bodies recovered from the rubble.
Al‑Jazeera English summarized the situation as “a war that has erased entire neighborhoods and displaced nearly the entire population,” reflecting the scale of destruction and the ongoing humanitarian collapse.
