In a prolonged incursion, Israeli soldiers invaded the city of Tulkarem, the Nur Shams refugee camp and several towns near the city, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, bombed two buildings, injured two young men, and abducted one.

Late Monday night, Israeli forces stormed, on Monday evening, the town of Zeita northeast of Tulkarem, while soldiers roamed various neighborhoods of Zeita town on foot, while firing tear gas canisters towards citizens.

North of the city, the army invaded the town of Shweika, sparking protests, while firing live rounds.

Soldiers also stormed the town of Attil, northeast of the city, triggering protests among local Palestinian youths.

In response, soldiers fired live rounds, injuring two young men with shrapnel; they were both transported to hospital.

Later, the occupation army stormed Deir al-Ghusun town, northeast of the city, firing concussion grenades and tear gas canisters towards citizens without causing any casualties.

Before midnight, a large army force invaded the city of Tulkarem, accompanied by military bulldozers, and besieged the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of the city.

Dozens of soldiers were deployed in the suburb of Dhanaba, adjacent to the camp, while armed resistance fighters engaged in intense exchange of fire with the attacking army, while sounds of explosions were heard.


Meanwhile, soldiers invaded and searched many homes, detained their inhabitants in one room, and deployed sharpshooters on their rooftops and in high-rise buildings in the vicinity of the camp.

Military bulldozers leveled the street adjacent to the entrance to the camp, as well as the Al-Manshiya and Al-Damj neighborhoods, destroying infrastructure.

It was added that the army chased ambulances and threatened them at gunpoint to leave the camp.

Before dawn Tuesday, the army besieged the home of Youssef Al-Zindeeq, fired several live rounds, and “Energa” missiles at the ground floor of the home, at the entrance of the camp.

Occupation forces declared the Nur Shams camp a closed military zone, prevented citizens from entering or leaving it, and fired light bombs in the sky.

Soldiers occupied several homes in the camp and turned them into military barracks, while military bulldozers crushed citizens’ vehicles, destroyed walls of homes, school, mosques, and razed the street next to the water tank that provides water to the camp.

Furthermore, the army bombed an under-construction building at the entrance to Iktaba town, northeast of Tulkarem.


Just before dawn Tuesday, Israeli forces abducted the former prisoner, Islambouli Riyad Badir, 32, after invading his home in the southern neighborhood of the Tulkarem.

At dawn, military reinforcements arrived in the city of Tulkarem, and the invasion was still ongoing at the time of writing this report.
