On Saturday evening, an Israeli military drone fired a missile at the Al-Jammasin neighborhood in the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, killing a child; thirteen Palestinians were injured, two seriously, in the bombing and a ground invasion of the area.
The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that the missile killed Luay Mohammad Mesheh, 17, and wounded at least nine Palestinians, and added that at least two of the wounded suffered critical injuries.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said one of its medics was also injured by Israeli fire while treating and evacuating the wounded Palestinians and added that most of the wounded Palestinians from the drone missile are children.
Local sources said that, after the army fired the missile at the Palestinians, many armored military vehicles invaded the area, leading to protests.
Furthermore, Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the soldiers invading Nablus and Balata.
On Friday, The Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society confirmed the death of the administrative detainee, Mustafa Mohammad Abu Ara, 63.
Israel has now killed 593 Palestinians, including 143 children, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, since October 7, 2023.
In the Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells have killed more than 41 Palestinians, and injured at least 103, in several parts of the coastal enclave in 24 hours, bringing the number of slain Palestinians since October 7 to at least 39.258 and the wounded to 90.589, the majority of whom are civilians.
