On Thursday dawn, Israeli soldiers killed a young Palestinian man near the Sahera Gate in the Old City of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank, after he allegedly attempted to stab them.
Update: The Palestinian has been identified as Nour Nizar Shehabi, 17, from the Suwwana neighborhood in Jerusalem, the Wadhi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said.
After killing him, the soldiers stormed and ransacked his family’s home in the Suwwana neighborhood in Jerusalem and abducted his parents.
Israeli sources claimed that the Palestinian attempted to stab a Border Police officer outside a police station in East Jerusalem before other officers shot and killed him.
They added that the incident occurred at 3 at dawn and said that the Palestinian was stopped for questioning before he reportedly pulled a knife and attempted to stab them.
The sources also said the officers “neutralized” the man, who was declared dead at the scene, and that no officers were injured in the incident.
The Time Of Israel said the police released a video of the man attempting a stabbing attack when they started questioning him before he pulled out a knife and tried to stab them and added that he appears to have acted on his own.
Before dawn Thursday, Israeli forces shot and killed three Palestinian young men, and injured at least two others, in the city of Tulkarem, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, and abducted one in the town of Anabta, east of the city.
