Israeli occupation authorities have issued a new military order seizing 37.481 dunams of Palestinian land in Beitunia, west of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, to expand a military site established on the city’s land near the illegal Beit Horon colony.
The Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission said Military Order T/101/26 targets land within Basins 30 and 36, where land-settlement procedures remain incomplete. The affected area includes several parcels and the access roads between them.
The maps attached to the order show the seized land as a contiguous area adjoining the existing military site near the illegal Beit Horon colony and Highway 443.
The order places the entire 37.481-dunam area marked in red on the military maps under Israeli military control for the expansion of the military site.
Under the order, the Israeli military official known as the “Officer in Charge of Ministry of Defense Affairs” is granted control of the land for 60 days from the date of signing.
The Commission stressed that although military seizure orders do not formally transfer ownership, they deprive Palestinian landowners of the right to possess and use their land by placing it under direct military control.
The Commission added that the seizure reflects the continued growth of military infrastructure used to protect and facilitate illegal colonies, while imposing the territorial and security consequences of Israel’s ongoing colonization activities in the occupied West Bank on Palestinians.
