On Tuesday afternoon, an Israeli colonizer shot and killed a Palestinian child following the funeral of a child killed the previous day, in the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that the child, Moheeb Ahmad Jibril (16 years old) was killed after he was shot by an illegal Israeli colonizer.
The Mayor of Tuqu’ town, Mohammad al-Badan, reported that following the funeral for the slain Ammar Yasser Mohammad Ta’amra, 16, in the town, an Israeli settler opened fire at citizens.
Al-Badan added that after the majority of mourners had left the funeral, an Israeli colonizer exited his vehicle at the northern entrance of Tuqu’ town, and proceeded to shoot the child with live ammunition, resulting in his death.
He stressed that the two children were killed within 24 hours of each other, amidst intensifying attacks against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank. He urged the international community to protect Palestinian civilians against the Israeli occupation and its illegal settlers.
Large crowds of Palestinian citizens gathered in front of the Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, on Tuesday, to receive the body of the slain child, Ammar Yasser Mohammad Ta’amra, 16.
