On Thursday evening, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinians and Bedouin communities in Asira Al-Qibliya, a town south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

Hafeth Saleh, head of the Asira Al-Qibliya Village Council, reported that the colonizers stormed Palestinian lands, assaulted multiple residents, and targeted the Wadi Al-Mughayyir Bedouin community in the town’s western area.

Saleh added that Israeli soldiers also invaded the area, firing live rounds at Palestinians instead of removing the colonizers.

The soldiers further escalated the aggression by closing streets and installing roadblocks, preventing Palestinians from accessing their lands.

Also Thursday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man in Beita town, and shot a child in the village of Salem, both in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus.

On Thursday evening, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that Israeli forces shot and killed the young man, Alaa Shawkat Ahmad Khdeir, 29, in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.

Last Wednesday night, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked the property of a Palestinian family near the Hamra military roadblock in the northern Jordan Valley, stealing dozens of the family’s livestock.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
