Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man in Beita town, on Thursday, and shot a child in the village of Salem, both in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus.
On Thursday evening, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that Israeli forces shot and killed the young man, Alaa Shawkat Ahmad Khdeir, 29, in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
According to Amid Ahmad, the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) emergency and ambulance center in Nablus, said that their ambulance crews transported a 29-year-old man to the hospital after he suffered a serious gunshot wound in Beita town.
Medical sources at the Rafidia Hospital in Nablus reported that the young man died shortly after arrival after sustaining a serious gunshot wound to the chest.
Media sources said that occupation forces invaded Beita town, sparking protests while soldiers fired many live rounds, seriously wounding Ikhdeir, and damaging citizens’ vehicles.
In related news, occupation forces shot a Palestinian child with live ammunition on Thursday evening, after storming the village of Salem, east of Nablus.
According to Amid Ahmad, the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) emergency and ambulance center in Nablus, their ambulance crews transported a 16-year-old child to the hospital after soldiers shot him in the back with a live round.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 132 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 24 children and 5 women, according to the Shireen Observatory.
Occupation forces have killed 55 Palestinians in Jenin, 21 in Nablus, 20 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 5 in Hebron, 5 in Bethlehem, 4 in Ramallah, 3 in Qalqilia, 3 in Jerusalem, and 2 in Salfit.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 52,418, including women and children, while at least 118,091 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
