Illegal Israeli colonizers burnt, earlier Thursday, several sections of a mosque in Jama’in village, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, in addition to puncturing tires of many cars near Jerusalem.
Zeid Ramadan, the head of Jama’in village council, said the colonizers infiltrated the village and went to the local mosque before using flammable materials to burn its main entrance.
Ramadan added that the colonizers also burnt carpets in the mosque before the Palestinians managed to extinguish the fire.
The colonizers also wrote racist anti-Palestinian and anti-Arab graffiti on the walls of a home near the mosque.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in the northern West Bank, warned that the colonizers might plan to attack many mosques in the areas extending from north of Ramallah to the south of the south Nablus.
He added that the colonizers had already carried out dozens of attacks since the beginning of this year targeting the Palestinians, their homes, and their lands.
The Palestinian Waqf and Religious Affairs Minister, Sheikh Hatem Bakri, denounced the attack and called on various international institutions and organizations, mainly the United Nations, The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and all organizations that advocate for peace and justice, to intervene and stop the dangerously escalating Israeli violations, especially those targeting holy sites.
In related news, the colonizers punctured, on Thursday at dawn, the tires of more than twenty Palestinian cars in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said.
On Wednesday, the colonizers partially burnt a mosque and a clinic in addition to puncturing the tires of 21 Palestinian cars in Mikhmas village, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
