On Wednesday night, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers vandalized an agricultural room belonging to Palestinian citizen Omar Habboub, in the town of Kafr ad‑Dik, west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank’s central part,
Local sources reported that the colonizers stormed the “al‑Wajh al‑Shami” area, smashed the doors of the room, and destroyed its contents.
This marks the third assault on the same structure, which is repaired by its owner after each attack.
The town of Kafr ad‑Dik has faced continuous colonizer violence, including bulldozing of land and destruction of agricultural facilities, as part of systematic attempts to expand illegal colonies on Palestinian territory.
In recent months, the Salfit Governorate documented hundreds of violations, including invasions, confiscation of agricultural vehicles, and bulldozing of farmland, since October 2023.
These violations also included the destruction of thousands of olive trees—vital to Palestinian livelihoods.
Such assaults, often carried out under army protection, aim to weaken Palestinian farmers and seize their land.
The repeated targeting of agricultural structures in Kafr ad‑Dik reflects a wider pattern of colonizer violence across the West Bank, designed to erode Palestinian presence and expand colonial control.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
Articles 53 and 147, prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.
