On Friday, a Palestinian child died due to an explosion of an object left behind by the Israeli army in the city of Rafah, in the Gaza Strip’s southmost part.

Luke Irvin, Director of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in the occupied Palestinian territories, warned at the end of last month about the remnants of the occupation army and their impact on civilians’ lives.

These munitions have caused civilian deaths and injuries, obstructed humanitarian operations, and initial reports document 92 victims since October 2023.
