In Gaza on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire killed a Palestinian father, north of Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
A Wafa news correspondent reported that Palestinian citizen Salman Rushdi Salman Abu Ghoula was martyred after being shot by the occupation forces in the town of Al-Maghraqa, north of Al-Nuseirat camp.
Medical sources announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip had risen to 47,583, the majority of whom were children and women, since the start of the occupation’s aggression on October 7, 2023.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned on Thursday that heavy rains and strong winds in the Gaza Strip expose hundreds of thousands of Palestinian citizens to the risk of cold weather, after the Israeli occupation destroyed their homes during the genocide that lasted more than 15 months .
The UN agency added in a post on the X platform, “Many Palestinian families are still living in temporary shelters due to the widespread destruction in the Strip . ”
UNRWA stated that “the heavy rains and strong winds that have intensified in the Gaza Strip, especially during the past 24 hours, expose hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to the risk of cold weather. Our teams continue to provide urgent and long-awaited aid, most notably tents, mattresses, blankets, and clothes to the displaced throughout the Strip . ”
UNRWA also published a video clip showing strong winds uprooting the displaced people’s tents made of cloth and nylon, and scattering their belongings in the Al-Mawasi area, northwest of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip .
After 15 months of war, large parts of #Gaza lie in ruins, including UNRWA facilities.

The leaders of a number of Palestinian clans issued a statement Thursday strongly rejecting the US calls for displacement, control and seizure of the Gaza Strip.
The clans, which represent a number of large Palestinian extended families, said the US President’s call for ethnic cleansing is a war crime which “constitutes a serious violation and breach of the provisions of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and a threat to regional peace and security, in addition to being a heinous act from a moral standpoint.”
The clans stressed that the Palestinian people are committed to the right to remain on their land, and will not give up their rights, land and holy sites, and that these rights are not negotiable.
They stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the State of Palestine, along with the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and that displacement attempts will end in failure in the face of the will and determination of the Palestinian people and their ability to remain steadfast and persevere until the occupation ends and freedom and independence are achieved.
The Palestinian clans appreciated the Saudi, Egyptian, Jordanian, and all Arab and international positions rejecting the displacement plans and calls, and adhering to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital on the borders of June 4, 1967.
The Palestinian clans called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and stand firmly against attempts to displace the Palestinian people, seize and control the Gaza Strip, and displace its Palestinian residents.
They stressed that the only just and permanent solution to the Palestinian issue lies in ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
