Israeli occupation forces continued the aggression against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, for the 108th consecutive day, expanding demolition and destruction operations within the camp to alter its landscape and infrastructure while continuing to block access to the area.

On Wednesday morning, Israeli forces abducted an elderly woman at the entrance of Jenin Governmental Hospital, holding her for several hours.

Meanwhile, infantry units were deployed around the hospital, as a series of explosions were heard from inside the camp.

Villages across Jenin governorate experience near-daily invasions, with ongoing military movements recorded in most areas. Israeli forces maintain a constant presence with patrols and military vehicles.

The complete closure of Jenin refugee camp remains in effect, preventing access while demolition operations continue inside.

According to estimates from Jenin Municipality, approximately 600 homes have been destroyed, while the remaining houses have suffered partial damage, rendering them uninhabitable.

The city of Jenin has sustained severe damage to buildings, homes, and infrastructure, particularly in the eastern neighborhood and Al-Hadaf neighborhood.

Israeli forces continue to deploy additional reinforcements, including 12 military vehicles, toward the camp and its surroundings. Meanwhile, infantry units are stationed daily across multiple neighborhoods in the city.

In related news, the soldiers invaded the town of Barta’a, northwest of Jenin, and confiscated surveillance cameras, while warplanes flew overhead.

Earlier in the evening, the soldiers shut down the Barta’a military roadblock and set up temporary roadblocks on roads leading to it, claiming that a shooting incident had targeted a settler vehicle near the checkpoint.

The Barta’a military roadblock separates the town—isolated behind the illegal Annexation Wall—from Jenin. It is the sole access point for the town’s 9,000 residents to reach Jenin and serves as a vital route for workers and commercial trade.

Families from the camp, along with hundreds of families from the city and its surroundings, remain forcibly displaced.

Jenin Municipality reports that the number of displaced Palestinians from the Jenin refugee camp and Jenin city has exceeded 22,000.

The economic situation in Jenin continues to deteriorate, with massive commercial losses due to the aggression. Numerous businesses have shut down, and shopping activity from outside the city has plummeted.

Additionally, demolition operations have devastated infrastructure, streets, and commercial establishments, particularly in western neighborhoods, which are experiencing near-total economic paralysis. Initial estimates place the financial losses at over $300 million.

It is worth mentioning that Israeli forces shot and killed, on Wednesday evening, a young Palestinian man near Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.

Media sources reported that soldiers opened fire on a young man at the military roadblock in Saddet Al-Fahs, at the southern entrance to Hebron, fatally wounding him.

They added that the soldiers sealed off the area, preventing Palestinian medics from reaching the scene, before taking the young man’s body to an undisclosed location.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the General Authority for Civil Affairs had informed them of the killing of Abdul-Fattah Ahed Ahmad Al-Hreibat, 20, by Israeli soldiers near Hebron.

Since the beginning of the aggression on January 21, 40 Palestinians have been killed, with dozens injured and abducted, in Jenin governorate.

This year, Israeli soldiers have killed 135 Palestinians, including 24 children and 5 women, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.

Amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has continued since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces and paramilitary have intensified operations across the West Bank, resulting in the killing of more than 960 Palestinians, injuries to nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of 16,400 individuals.

In the Gaza Strip, Israel has now killed at least 52,653 Palestinians, and injured more than 118,897, largely children, women and elderly, since October 7, 2023.
