According to the Jerusalem Governorate, the demolished structures belonged to five brothers from the Jahalin family: Mousa, Yousef, Jibril, Ahmad, and Omar Mohammad Suleiman Jahalin.
The demolitions came weeks after Israeli authorities issued demolition orders against the structures, citing construction without permits.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces assaulted residents during the demolition operation and prevented families from removing their belongings before the structures were razed.
The bulldozers demolished the residential units along with their contents, including electrical appliances, furniture, clothing, and other personal possessions, causing the families significant material losses.
Approximately 30 Palestinians were living in the targeted structures and were left without shelter following the demolition. Israeli forces also destroyed a sheep pen, further affecting the livelihoods of the displaced families.
Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem and surrounding areas continue to face restrictive Israeli planning policies, which rights groups say make it nearly impossible for many Palestinian residents to obtain building permits, leaving homes and community structures vulnerable to demolition.
