Israeli forces invaded Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem and Kafr ‘Aqab neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem, on Wednesday, and fired at protestors, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

Eyewitnesses said many soldiers stormed Kafr ‘Aqab and Qalandia, stopped Palestinians in the streets, inspected their identification, seized Palestinian vehicles, and blocked the free movement of locals.

Witnesses added that confrontations erupted when Palestinians resisted the military invasion, and soldiers responded by firing rubber-coated steel rounds and tear-gas at the protesting civilians.

Many locals were reported to have suffered the toxic effects of tear-gas inhalation, and were treated at the scene. No serious injuries were reported.

On a frequent basis, the Israeli military forces storm Palestinian towns and villages in order to detain Palestinian civilians.
