On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed a former prisoner and injured a paramedic who was attempting to reach the slain man, in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
According to the Shireen Observatory, Israeli forces shot and killed the former prisoner, Rayeq Abdul Rahman Sadiq Basharat, 47, before confiscating his body.
Media sources said that undercover Israeli agents (Musta’ribeen) infiltrated Tammun town on Tuesday night, driving in a civilian vehicle with Palestinian licence plates, followed by military reinforcements.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Israeli forces prevented their ambulance crews from approaching the injured man, and opened fire with live rounds causing one of its paramedics to suffer from shrapnel injuries.
Media sources added that soldiers invaded and searched several citizens’ homes in the town, amid the overhead flight of a helicopter and reconnaissance drones.
In related news, occupation forces killed the brothers, Nidal Mahdi Ahmad Amira, 40 and Khaled Mahdi Ahmad Amira, 35, wounded dozens of citizens, and abducted others after invading the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
The Health Ministry reported that occupation forces confiscated the bodies of the two slain citizens, and took them to an unknown location.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 154 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 27 children and 5 women.
Occupation forces have killed 57 Palestinians in Jenin, 28 in Nablus, 26 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 7 in Hebron, 5 in Bethlehem, 5 in Ramallah, 4 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 54,981, including women and children, while at least 126,920 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
