On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed two Palestinian brothers, injured dozens of citizens, and abducted many others during a military incursion into the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the General Authority of Civil Affairs informed them of the death of the brothers, Nidal Mahdi Ahmad Amira, 40 and Khaled Mahdi Ahmad Amira, 35.
The Health Ministry added that occupation forces confiscated the bodies of the two slain citizens, taking them to an unknown location.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers invaded the Old City of Nablus, at dawn Tuesday, sparking protests from local Palestinian youths.
Soldiers opened fire with live rounds and tear gas canisters, shooting the two young men with live rounds and blocking ambulance crews from approaching to provide medical aid.
Sources added that the army injured at least 80 Palestinians, including paramedics and children, many of whom sustained injuries from live bullet fragment, tear gas inhalation, and assault, while a military vehicle ran over one citizen.
The army stormed several shops and homes in various neighborhoods, forcing citizens to evacuate, occupying homes and converting them to military barracks, while sharpshooters were positioned on rooftops.
Media sources said that occupation forces abducted and detained an unspecified number of young men without providing their identities.
Sources added that Israeli soldiers directly targeted ambulances with live rounds near the Martyrs’ Roundabout in the center of Nablus city, causing damage.
WAFA correspondent reported that the army obstructed journalists’ work, preventing them from covering its ongoing military incursion.
