On Sunday night, Israeli occupation police shot and killed a Palestinian child after he allegedly attempted to carry out a stabbing attack in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli occupation forces stationed at a military roadblock on Al-Wad Street in the Old City of Jerusalem approached the child to conduct a search, when the child allegedly took out a knife and tried to stab them.
Media sources identified the slain child as Mohammad Tariq Abu Sneina, 15, a citizen of the town of Al-Eizariya, east of occupied Jerusalem.
After firing live rounds at the accused attacker, injuring him, he was left laying on the ground bleeding while soldiers prevented Palestinian ambulances from approaching him.
Eyewitness accounts revealed that Israeli occupation forces opened fire with live rounds at a Palestinian child, surrounded him and directed their weapons at him after he had fallen to the ground.
According to an Israeli police statement, “A suspect attempted to stab two policemen in the Old City of Jerusalem, and the suspect was neutralized by police officers.”
Occupation police proceeded to abduct the injured child, transporting him in an Israeli ambulance.
A large police force arrived at the scene, closed off the area, and impeded the movement of local Palestinian citizens.
Media sources added that a 30-year-old Palestinian man who was near the scene sustained a minor gunshot wound to the foot.
It is important to mention that there were no reports of injuries among Israeli occupation police.
On Sunday evening, Israeli forces shot and killed Rami Rashed Al-Batha who allegedly attempting to carry out a stabbing attack at the Husan Junction near Beitar Illit, west of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.
Since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 393 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank.
