Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child on Monday evening, after invading the town of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the child, Ammar Moataz Hamayel, 13, succumbed to his critical wounds after being shot by Israeli soldiers near Kafr Malik.
Media sources reported that occupation forces stormed the town and opened fire with live rounds, shooting and detaining the child, before transferring him to a Palestinian ambulance.
Sources added that shortly after arriving at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, the child was pronounced dead due to his injuries.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 159 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 28 children and 5 women.
Occupation forces have killed 57 Palestinians in Jenin, 28 in Nablus, 26 in Tubas, 16 in Tulkarem, 8 in Hebron, 6 in Bethlehem, 6 in Ramallah, 4 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 55,998, including women and children, while at least 131,559 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
