Israeli forces shot a Palestinian child with live ammunition and assaulted a citizen after invading the town of Birzeit, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that occupation forces shot a child with live rounds and assaulted a citizen after storming the town, on Thursday afternoon, adding that soldiers invaded and ransacked the home of former prisoner, Salama Qatawi.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported a 12-year-old child who sustained a live gunshot wound in the leg and a citizen who was assaulted, to hospital for treatment.

In related news, occupation forces injured three Palestinians and demolished a home on Thursday, after storming the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.
