Israeli forces shot a Palestinian child, on Saturday, in the village of ‘Anza, southwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. The army also abducted five young men after invading various towns in the Jenin governorate.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported a 17-year-old child to the hospital after he sustained a live gunshot wound to the chest; his injuries were described as critical.


Media sources said that a large army force invaded the village of ‘Anza, southwest of Jenin, on Saturday evening, deployed infantry units and sharpshooters, which sparked protests from local Palestinian youths.

The sources added that occupation forces opened fire with live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters, shooting the child; he was initially transported to the emergency center in the neighboring town of Ajjah.

Later, the PRCS transferred the critically wounded child to the hospital in Jenin city due to the severity of his injuries.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces abducted three Palestinian young men, on Saturday evening, while they were present at their places of work in the Jenin governorate.

Media sources said that occupation forces abducted two young men from their workplaces in the village of Barta’a, west of Jenin, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) identified one of the young men as Ayman Jalmana.

Sources added that the army abducted an unidentified young man from his workplace in the village of Zababdeh, south of Jenin.

Furthermore, occupation forces stormed the village of Deir Abu Da’if, east of Jenin, sparking protests from local Palestinians, while soldiers roamed the streets and opened fire with live rounds; no injuries were reported.

Moreover, Israeli forces invaded the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, on Saturday afternoon, and notified Palestinian families of their intention to demolish this homes.

Media sources said that a large army force invaded Qabatiya town, deployed infantry units in the Zakarneh neighborhood and many streets in the town.

The sources added that occupation forces stormed the home of slain young man, Asaad Nazzal, and notified a number of families, including that of the slain Wael Lahlouh, of their intention to demolish their homes.

In related news, the army abducted two Palestinian young men in the village of Rummanah, northwest of Jenin, before dawn on Saturday.

Media sources said that a large army force invaded Rummanah village, invaded citizens’ homes and abducted the young men, Ayham Wissam Amur and Akram Issam Amur.

Quds Press reported that Israeli forces set fire to a residential building at the entrance to the Jenin refugee camp, on Saturday evening.


Since January 21, 2025, Israeli forces have besieged the city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, in an unprecedented act of aggression.

Since the beginning of the year, occupation forces have killed 59 Palestinians in the Jenin governorate, demolished at least 600 civilians’ homes in the Jenin refugee camp, and forced the displacement of at least 22,000 residents.
