Israeli occupation forces uprooted hundreds of trees on Thursday in the village of ‘Atouf and the ar‑Ras al-Ahmar, east of Tubas in the northeastern occupied West Bank, as part of ongoing land clearing operations to construct a military road and erect a separation wall in the area.

Mutaz Bisharat, the official responsible for the Jordan Valley file in Tubas, said Israeli forces have been carrying out large‑scale uprooting operations since early morning, targeting agricultural lands east of ‘Atouf and the al‑Baqi’a Valley.

Bisharat confirmed that more than 300 olive and grape trees were uprooted, and major water lines supplying approximately 45,000 dunams of farmland were cut.

Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have conducted extensive bulldozing operations across the ‘Atouf and al‑Baqi’a areas as part of the so‑called “Crimson Thread” project, which aims to carve out a military road and establish a separation wall on Palestinian‑owned lands in the Tubas district and the northern Jordan Valley.

Initial plans indicate that the wall will extend for 22 kilometers, starting from the village of Ein Shibli east of Nablus in the northern West Bank and reaching the Israeli military roadblock at Tayasir east of Tubas.

The project will isolate thousands of dunams of Palestinian lands behind the wall, effectively consuming the agricultural expanse of the Tubas governorate and tightening Israeli control over the Jordan Valley by severing it from surrounding Palestinian communities.

Also Thursday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers carried out multiple attacks across the West Bank, targeting Palestinian homes, agricultural lands, vehicles, and public facilities. The assaults occurred under the protection of Israeli occupation forces and were reported in Salfit, Jenin, Nablus, and Ramallah.

Furthermore, Israeli forces carried out widespread invasions across the occupied West Bank, breaking into numerous homes and abducting residents in multiple districts, including Nablus in the northern West Bank, Jenin in the northern West Bank, Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Ramallah in the central West Bank, Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, and occupied Jerusalem.
