Israeli occupation forces demolished two Palestinian homes on Thursday in separate areas of the occupied West Bank, continuing a pattern of systematic destruction targeting residential structures and privately owned property. The demolitions took place in the Salfit district in the central West Bank and the Hebron district in the southern West Bank.

In the town of Bruqin west of Salfit, Israeli forces invaded the northern area known as al‑Balata, accompanied by a military bulldozer, and demolished what remained of a home belonging to ‘Atta Mohammad Rabea’.

The single‑story structure, measuring 100 square meters, had been fully prepared for occupancy. Rabea’ said Israeli forces had already demolished part of the home last Thursday before returning today to destroy the remainder.

Residents noted that Israeli authorities have issued demolition and stop‑work orders against at least eight homes in the al‑Balata area, forming part of a broader campaign aimed at restricting Palestinian construction and expanding colonial control around Bruqin and nearby villages.

In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces demolished an inhabited home in the Khallet al‑Mayya area east of Yatta, in the Hebron district.

Local activist Osama Makhamra said soldiers invaded the Erfa’eyya area at dawn, accompanied by heavy machinery, and demolished a two‑story home belonging to Eyad Musleh al‑‘Amour.

The structure measured approximately 600 square meters and housed three families totaling 15 individuals. Residents were forced out before the demolition, leaving the families displaced.

Local sources emphasized that demolitions in Yatta and surrounding communities have intensified throughout 2026, particularly in areas targeted for colonial expansion and military training zones.

The region has long faced demolition orders, land seizures, and movement restrictions imposed by Israeli forces and illegal paramilitary colonizers.
