On Tuesday evening, Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats in the southern part of the coastal region.
A fisherman said the navy fired a barrage of live rounds, and gas bombs, at the fishing boats near the shores of Rafah and Khan Younis, forcing them to leave.
He added that the fishermen were about to start fishing in the evening, just after sunset, but were attacked and forced to leave.
The fishermen also said the navy escalated its attacks against the fishermen and their boats, especially over the past few days.
On Sunday, Israeli soldiers fired live rounds at Palestinian farmers and their lands in the northeastern part of the Gaza Strip and abducted two young men near the fence in the southern part of the coastal region.
The attacks are part of constant Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermen, farmers, shepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen.
In March of 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen.
