In related news, Israeli occupation soldiers maintained their closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque for the second day in a row, blocking worshippers from entering the holy compound and preventing prayers in its courtyards.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that this ongoing closure is part of broader efforts to impose control over the mosque and undermine its Islamic identity by denying access to Muslim worshippers.
On Sunday evening, Israeli soldiers stormed the historic Al-Qibli prayer hall inside the mosque compound, broke into storage cabinets, vandalized property, and carried out a sweeping and forceful search.
During the incursion, four mosque guards were abducted: Mohammad Arbash, Ramzi al-Zaanin, Basem Abu Jom’a, and Iyad Odeh.
Furthermore, the soldiers abducted a young woman, Elham Rawhi, from Beit Duqqu, after detaining her at a military roadblocks checkpoint along the Tunnel road northwest of the city.
Also on Sunday evening, Israeli infantry invaded Kafr Dan town, west of Jenin, stormed homes, and deployed snipers to rooftops.
Military vehicles later spread across parts of Jenin city, particularly around the Al-Naseem roundabout, disrupting civilian movement.
Earlier in the day, more Israeli military reinforcements were deployed to Jenin refugee camp, which remains under near-continuous military assault for six consecutive months.
